Engr. Prof. Chukwunonye Ezeah is a Professor of Civil/Environmental Engineering at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi state, Nigeria. I am a Registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN (R. (R.37854), Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (R. 42598), as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom. I graduated in 1989 with a B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in Civil Engineering from the former Anambra (now Enugu) State University of Technology (ASUTECH), Nigeria. Post-graduation, I worked briefly with globally acclaimed engineering firms such as Fougerolle, and Japanese Gas Company before proceeding for postgraduate studies at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom respectively. Following completion of my PhD, I took up employment as a Lecturer with the University of Wolverhampton until 2016, when I returned back to Nigeria to help start a new faculty of engineering in AE-FUNAI. I am the immediate past Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, at Alex Ekwueme, Federal University, Ndufu-Alike. I am a research-active academic with significant publication footprint in globally aclaimed research journals. Outcomes of my outstanding PhD completed at the University of Wolverhampton has helped shape key policy decisions on sustainable management of solid waste in developing countries. I am passionate about improving the quality of engineering education in Nigeria.
